Optium Corporation, a  supplier of optical subsystems for the telecom and cable TV industries, has announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Kailight Photonics, Inc., a provider of 40Gb/s optical transmission products including 300 Pin 40Gb/s transceivers. The purchase price is USD $25 million and $5 million for financial performance milestones.
